THE BEST BARBECUE COCKTAIL
We all know that summer is the king (or queen?) of backyard barbecues. Whether you're hosting one on your own, or having a pot-luck, the most essential component of any barbecue is the cocktail.
This past 4th of July we had a laid back barbecue and watched some fireworks at our apartment. I was bound and determined to find the best, “least deadly hangover” cocktail out there. After some research and trial-and-error, I landed on this Watermelon margarita.
It has 5 ingredients total:
Watermelon - I did a whole batch of store bought cubes blended in the blender and strained.
Tequila
TrippleSec
Lime Juice
LOTS of ice
It was a huge success, and ended up being a super fresh addition to our typical BBQ spread. This makes me want to find lots more fresh cocktail recipes to bring to the remaining summer backyard parties!
