6 THINGS TO OVERNIGHT ON AMAZON TO HELP YOU WORK FROM HOME

Happy Tuesday everyone! I know this is a turbulent time. So thank you for even taking time to read today’s post. Today we’re covering 6 tools to improve your work from home situation - even if you are working from your home office / sofa / dining room table / bed (hey, we’ve all been there)

After releasing my home office reveal, I wanted to share 6 items that I use daily while I’m working from home. All of these things have made WFH much more comfortable and have made me 10 x more productive ( ok, maybe only like 2 x, but you get the point)

1: Laptop Stand

Ok this might seem simple, but trust me, as soon as you raise your monitor or laptop on a stand you can say goodbye to any neck pains. Plus, raising your computer screen off your desk surface really helps to de-clutter ( or at least look less cluttered )

2:  Time Cube

This is one of my favorite productivity hacks. This thing helps me time batch. If you haven’t heard of time batching - it is basically YOU determining YOUR schedule and the time spent on each task (don’t worry a whole blog post coming on this topic). For example:

- my daily goal is to devote 1 hour maximum on answering emails ( 3x a day ) - I set the timer for an hour then STOP. As soon as your brain knows you have a limited amount of time to complete a task, you perform so much better.

3. To Do List

Another productivity hack - write down everything you need to get done. Don’t let it overwhelm you  (obvi). To do this follow the ivy lee method:

- the night before, right down 6 things you need to do the next day in the order of importance. The next day, complete every item in order. The hard part? DON’T move on to the next item until the first one is complete. Trust me - this is harder than it sounds.

If I’m in a more sporadic or creative type mood, I follow a different method when making my to-do lists:

- one big task, two medium size tasks, and 3 smaller (or busy work) tasks

4. Weekly Tear-Off Planner

Ok, obviously I have some serious type-A blood if I have two types of lists, but hear me out. I love having a daily to - do list that’s more micro task focused. Then, my weekly to do list is more big picture projects or things I’ll be focused on for the week. This way of thinking helps me focus on moving the needle in both small and big ways.

5. Chic Pens

Ok y'all, sometimes beautiful pens make you want to be more productive - am I weird? (yes, probs, don’t answer that) These pens are my favorite - IYKYK

6. Lap Desk

Ok this one I was apprehensive to share, until My Style Vita shared that she uses one of these too. We’ve all been there, some days just call for working from the couch. Has anyone tried to do this with a snuggly puppy that lays over your lap??! It's hard as heck to get anything done without one of these things while working from home.
