SEASONAL DECOR TO PREPARE YOUR HOME FOR FALL
Happy Monday everyone! Today’s post is all about tips to help you decorate your home for the fall season - all under $80.
Before we get started, I just want to check in with everyone! It feels so good to be back writing and tending to everything Snow Studio. I took a little break to focus on my professional exams, but I’m back and feel like I have a whole new perspective. Who knows, maybe the time away from my passion helped me get refocused.
With Halloween approaching, it finally feels like fall is here (if you live in the southeast you’ll understand). It finally felt appropriate to give our living room a fall-refresh. Now, you all know my love for seasonal decor. I love this look even more because it’s all under $80! Hello Affordable Luxury!
These changes are so simple, but that’s all you need to make a big difference. First things first, the tray to ground the setting. I have this acrylic lucite tray from amazon. Linked here. It’s a great piece to have to as a staple all year round.
The biggest update here was the pillows. Finding inexpensive seasonal pillows can be hard. Lucky for you, I’ve already done the digging for you. All of the pillows linked here are $20!
Next comes the vase, or large sculpture piece. Try to use something with good height and proportions. I usually try to find a vase that I can use all year long. Of course to fill the vase, I always go for fake flowers. I have NO green thumb, so fake flowers are the best option for our house.
Last, but not least, are the “filler” items. I use the same rule of thumb for these pieces. I have formed a series of pieces that I can rotate year round. Then each season it's easy to add an accent of color, without breaking the bank.
The final product (yes Callie approves)! Now my living room is begging for the leaves and temperatures to drop, and a warm cup of hazelnut coffee.
