HOW TO STYLE YOUR NIGHT STAND

There is something about waking up to a styled night stand that will give you some serious motivation. This past weekend I re-organized and updated our night tables. Here are the key elements to make a killer night stand:

start with the night stand:

I love my night stands because we have that open portion where we can store things we need easy access to: the books we’re reading, remotes, and essential oils (I’m really into spraying lavender on our pillows before bed now).

Accent light

Try a table lamp, wall sconces, or plug in wall sconces (some options linked below)⁣.

Art

Try a framed piece layered on the table, hung above the side table, or a sculptural piece . The piece of art shown here is actually my grandmother’s. The piece is actually so special to me because I feel like it kind of looks like me…? My grand dad bought the piece for my grand mother when he came back from WW2 - so romantic!

Book or Journal

Decorative Tray

My tray is an antique mirror from West Side Market. Another special think in these photos is my grandmother’s pearl earrings.

Update the Hardware

We all know that I love this hack. Upgrading your cabinetry hardware to something more decorative will make the biggest change with the least impact on your budget.
