BLACK OWNED INTERIOR DESIGN AND DECOR BRANDS YOU CAN SUPPORT TODAY

One of the best ways to keep up the momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement is with exposure. What does this mean? Time to DIVERSIFY YOUR INSTAGRAM. I firmly believe that we are only as good as those around us. I think it says a lot about who you let into your circle. This also applies to social media. So, who’s in your circle? Do you like who you are following? Recently I have taken a good look at the main design accounts I’ve been following. And guess, what? It was not diverse enough.

As a white female blogger and designer, I can do better. I want my *online* circle to reflect the diversity I aim to have in my personal circle. After all, some of the most famous architects were minorities. After scouring instagram and the internet I have found some of the best Black owned interior designers, home goods, and creators that you can support now.

How to Show Your support

How can you support them, and continue to support them past the new cycle? Follow, like, and actually engage with their online platforms. You all know how the instagram algorithm works. Instagram will only recommend more of what you actually engage with on your current feed. So, if you want to see more of designers and creators like these (which you should). Then you have to actually engage with them! Trust me, you won’t regret it. Each one of these designers and creators are so talented and so worth the follow.

Go go go!! Help me support and cheer on our Black brothers and sisters.
