Last Minute 4th of July Decor

all available at Target right now

By now you all know your girl loves to host. So much so that I get myself into trouble by promising to do so at the last minute. We just decided today to host a small 4th of July BBQ and I realized I have NOTHING for the table. Below I’ve put together two different schemes of how the table scape will go. Lukily, all of these options are in stock at Target right now!

Now that I’ve created two moldboards and options for each scheme, all that’s left to do is go visit Target to see what items I like best together! Who knows, I might even just pop all of it into my cart on the Target app and pick it up in store - we’ll see!

Let me know which scheme is your favorite in the comments below!

Bold and Colorful - Best for BBQ

I wanted this concept to be super outdoor friendly, and well suited for some barbecue (aka - very cleanable). I chose this polyester and cotton blend checkered table cloth for the table that feels very nostalgic, but also blends with the 4th of July vibe. I’m also using these new Melamine (higher end plastic) plates from Target that are in the cutest shade of pink. I’m really excited to use a pink shade of plate instead of a bright red. It’s a more surprising way to apply the whole red, white, and blue color way to your tables cape.

CHIC AND SOPHISTICATED - best for an indoor soiree

For this scheme I wanted to pull an indoor safe back up - you know, a more chic and sophisticated version in case we had to move the party indoors. Chances are, if we’re not eating outside, the menu will change to something a little more elevated. I wanted the tables cape to reflect that. This scheme also works great because I already have a white table cloth and the brass toned silverware. All that is lacking is adding some color to the table! I am absolutely in love with these stripe napkins with the red trim and how they tie in so well with the red cups - I may or may not be using this combo on my every day dining table!

I’ll update the post as soon as we have our last minute 4th of July event, but for now my heart is pulling me towards the informal and bold option one! Weather forecasts are pushing for clear Skys and heat, so chances are we will be grilling out - perfect for our blue checkered table cloth! Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th of July Weekend!
